Fees & FAQ

Clear information before you begin.

Before anything starts, you should know how sessions work, how private pay and insurance differ, and what happens when you reach out.

Fees

Insert the confirmed private-pay session fee, session length, and payment methods before launch. Fee information is provided before the first appointment. Self-pay clients receive a Good Faith Estimate as required.

Two payment paths

Private pay (cash-based): Pay the session fee directly. Many executives choose this for steadier scheduling and fewer billing intermediaries. Private pay does not make records disappear and does not remove legal or ethical limits on confidentiality.

Insurance-backed (Alma): In-network care may be available through Alma for participating plans after credentialing is active. Your cost depends on your plan, deductible, and copay. Clinical fit still comes first.

More detail: Insurance and private pay.

Out-of-network superbills

If you pay privately and want to seek out-of-network reimbursement, ask whether superbills can be provided. Reimbursement is never guaranteed. It depends on your plan.

Telehealth

Sessions are offered by secure telehealth for adults who are physically in Michigan at the time of the appointment.

Who is a good fit for this practice?

Senior leaders, banking and finance professionals, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals who want thoughtful, discreet therapy for pressure, anxiety, relationships, or a transition.

What is the clinician’s background?

Forty-five years in executive team building, including direct management and leadership of multimillion-dollar organizations, plus twenty-five years as a mental health counselor and therapist. Author of Warrior to Elder and other books. Clinical approaches often include MBSR, ACT, and Master Hypnotherapy when useful. More detail is on the About page and the Books page.

Is the consultation a therapy session?

No. It is a short conversation about what brings you in, what you are looking for, and whether this practice is a fit.

Do you take insurance and private pay?

Yes. Private pay is available now as the practice launches. Insurance-backed sessions run through Alma for participating plans once credentialing is live. Ask which path fits your situation during the consultation.

How private is private-pay therapy?

Communication is handled carefully, and private pay can reduce some third-party involvement. Records still exist. Confidentiality has professional and legal exceptions, and those get explained before treatment begins.

Do you offer crisis services?

StoneCurrent is not a crisis service and does not provide emergency care. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health emergency, call 911, go to the nearest emergency room, or contact 988.
